REPLACEMENT REAR HUB-BEARING

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

Hub-bearing refitting tool comprising :

• [1] (-).0617 E sleeve
• [2] abutment ring (-).0617 D
• [3] thrust button (-).0617 F

2 - RECOMMENDED TOOLS

[4] three legged extractor U20 FACOM .

[5] Two legged extractor U52 FACOM .

3 - REMOVAL

Remove :

• the brake drum or disc

Remove the cap (1) .

Remove :

• the nut (2)
• the washer (3)

Extract the hub (4) using the tool [4] and the thrust pad [3] .

Extract the inner bearing race (5) using the extractor [5] and the thrust pad [3] .

4 - REFITTING

The hub-bearing assembly cannot be separated, it must therefore always be replaced after removal .

Clean the stub axle before refitting .

Tighten the sleeve [1] to the stub axle .

Fit a new hub bearing (4) to the guide sleeve [1] .

Screw the bush nut [2] to the guide sleeve [1] .

Tighten the bush [2] until the hub bearing (4) is fully home .

Remove the tools .

Fit :

• the washer (3)
• the nut (2) (face and threads greased)

Tighten the nut (2) to 27.5 da.Nm .

Lock the nut (2) .

Fit :

• a new cap (1)
• the brake drum or disc

ANTI-LOCK BRAKES

Fit the wheel sensor .
