REMOVAL - REFITTING ANCILLARY DRIVE BELT

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] (-).4122-T tension measuring equipment .

2 - REMOVAL

Remove :

• the front right-hand wheel
• the mud shield
• the ancillary drive belt

3 - REFITTING

3 - 1 - ROUTING OF BELTS

TU3JP ENGINE

Slacken the bolt (1) .

Turn the screw (2) to adjust the tension of the ancillary drive belt .

AIR CONDITIONING

3 - 2 - TENSION OF THE BELTS

Pre-tensioning of ancillary belt 120 seemunits ; By turning the six-sided wrench of the dynamic tensioner clockwise .

Tighten the tensioner by means of the central screw 4.5 to dan.m .

Turn the engine for 2 to 4 revolutions .

Seem units ancillary 120 belt tensioning check .

WARNING : if the tension of the belt is higher than 150 seem units, the belt is unusable. .

Minimum tension in use 62 seem units .

Tension values :

• new belt = 87 SEEM units
• re-used belt = 61 SEEM units

Turn the crankshaft 3 turn(s) in the direction of running .

Check and adjust the tension to obtain the values quoted .

AIR CONDITIONING

Tension values :

• new belt = 138 SEEM units
• re-used belt = 103 SEEM units
