REMOVAL - REFITTING FUEL PUMP GAUGE MODULE

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] Pipe with adapter for valve SHRADER (-).0141-T1 .

[2] Gauge securing ring removal-refitting spanner (-).1607 .

2 - REMOVAL

Lower the fuel pressure by connecting the end of the tool [1] to the valve SHRADER; catch the fuel in a receptacle .

REMOVE THE REAR SEAT .

PETROL

Remove ; The protector (1) .

Disconnect the fuel supply pipe (2) .

Disconnect the connector (3) .

DIESEL

Remove ; The protector (1) .

Disconnect the connector (2) .

Disconnect the fuel supply pipe (3) .

Disconnect the fuel return pipe (4) .

ALL MODELS

Remove :

• the bush (5) using the tool [1]
• the gauge (6), taking care not to damage or twist the float arm (7)

IMPERATIVE : always replace the seal (8) when removing the bush (5) .

3 - REFITTING

WARNING : take care not to damage the seal (8) and the float arm (7) .

Place the gauge/pump assembly in position in the tank by aligning the arrow (A) with the mark (B) .

Refit the ring (5) and tighten using the tool [1] until the mark (C) is aligned with the arrow (A) and the mark (B) .

PETROL

Reconnect :

• connector (3)
• the fuel supply pipe (2)

DIESEL

Reconnect :

• the fuel return pipe (4)
• the fuel supply pipe (3)
• the connector (2)

ALL MODELS

Refit the protector (1) .

Check the electrical operation .
