REMOVAL - REFITTING INJECTOR
IMPERATIVE : do not disconnect the injector ith the engine running ; when working on the diesel circuit, follow the advice on cleanliness ; if any work is carried out on the high pressure pipes they must always be replaced .
1 - SPECIAL TOOLS
[1] Set of plugs (-).0188-T .
[2] Torque tightening kit for diesel high pressure circuit (-).1603-ZZ .
2 - REMOVAL
IMPERATIVE : before any repair : wait 30 seconds after the ignition has been switched off .
Remove the styling cover from the engine .
Disconnect :
Move aside :
Remove :
Remove the diesel return pipe (9), moving the pin away towards the outside with a screwdriver .
IMPERATIVE : blank the holes with the caps [1] ; clean the high pressure unions before slackening .
Unscrew :
Remove the fuel high pressure tube (12) from the injector to be removed .
IMPERATIVE : blank the holes with the caps [1] .
Remove :
Clean the recess of each injector .
IMPERATIVE : cover the injector recesses and the injector edges by means of the caps [1] .
3 - REFITTING
IMPERATIVE : if any work is carried out on the high pressure pipes they must always be replaced .
Remove the blanking caps [1] from the injector recesses .
Position :
Tighten :
Pre-tighten the connections (11) - (10) to 2.4 dan.m .
Tighten :
Continue the fitting operations in the reverse order to removal .
Re-prime the diesel circuit using the priming pump .
Initialise the various ECUs .
3 - 1 - LEAKAGE CHECK
Start the engine .
Check that there are no fuel leaks .
