REMOVAL - REFITTING INJECTOR

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS


[1] Plugs kit (-).0194-T .

[2] Tightening kit (-).1609-ZZ .

2 - REMOVAL

IMPERATIVE : clean the fuel unions before slackening .

remove the integral intake system .


Supporting the end pieces (A), slacken the unions (1) .

Slacken the unions (2) on the injection rail .

Remove the high pressure fuel pipes (3) .

IMPERATIVE : close the injection rail outlets and the inlets on the injectors using plugs [1] .


IMPERATIVE : do not handle the nut (B) .

Remove :

Cover the injector recesses and the injector edges by means of the caps [1] .

3 - REFITTING

IMPERATIVE : replace the high pressure pipe(s) removed as well as the seals .

Remove the blanking caps [1] from the injector recesses .

Check that the injector to cylinder head clamp thrust buttons are present as well as the sleeves (6) .

Fit :

Clip the high pressure pipes onto the injectors and the rail .

Tighten ; The high pressure pipes on the injectors (using the tool [2]) supporting the end piece (A) :

Tighten : The high pressure pipes on the injection rail : Using the tool [2] :

refit the integral intake system .

Start the engine .

Remove the air filter housing .

Check the sealing of the various unions .

Accelerate the engine to 3500 r.p.m .

Check the sealing of the various unions .

Replace any defective parts (if necessary) .

Fit :
