REMOVAL - REFITTING HIGH PRESSURE FUEL INJECTION COMMON RAIL

IMPERATIVE : when carrying out an operation on the diesel circuit, respect safety instructions .

IMPERATIVE : if any work is carried out on the high pressure pipes they must always be replaced .

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS


[1] Set of plugs (-).0188-T .

[2] Torque tightening kit for diesel high pressure circuit (-).1603-ZZ .

2 - REMOVAL

IMPERATIVE : before any repair : wait 30 seconds after the ignition has been switched off .


Disconnect the battery .

Remove the style cover .

{{N13425}} écarter le faisceau injection (5) .

Detach and move aside :

Remove :

IMPERATIVE : clean the high pressure unions before slackening .


Unscrew :

{{N13471}} déposer le tuyau d'alimentation haute pression (9) .

{{N13472}} débrancher le capteur haute pression carburant .


Unscrew :

{{N13473}} déposer les tuyaux d'alimentation haute pression (14) .

IMPERATIVE : blank the holes with the caps [1] .


Remove :

3 - REFITTING

IMPERATIVE : {{n13432}} remplacer les tuyaux haute pression carburant deposes .

{{N13474}} reposer la rampe haute pression carburant (16) .

Tighten the bolts (15) by hand .

Reconnect the fuel high pressure sensor .

Fit :

Manually tighten the connectors .

Pre-tighten (Using the tool [2]) :

Tighten (Using the tool [2]) :

Continue the fitting operations in the reverse order to removal .

Initialise the various ECUs .

3 - 1 - LEAKAGE CHECK

Carry out a road test .

Engage 3rd gear : Stabilise the engine speed at 1000 rpm .

Accelerate fully up to 3500 rpm .

Check that there are no fuel leaks .
