REMOVAL - REFITTING INJECTORS

IMPERATIVE : when carrying out an operation on the diesel circuit, respect safety instructions .

IMPERATIVE : if any work is carried out on the high pressure pipes they must always be replaced .

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] Set of plugs (-).0188-T .

[2] Torque tightening kit for diesel high pressure circuit (-).1603-ZZ .

2 - IDENTIFICATION

{{N13423}} les porte-injecteurs sont repérés par un gravage situé sur la partie supérieure du bobinage vers l'orifice de retour de gazole .

Identification marking comprising :

• (A) {{n13424}} identification fournisseur(s)
• (B) PSA identification number
• (C) identification of categories

Reference X =Category X injector .

Reference Y =Category Y injector .

Reference Z =Category Z injector .

IMPERATIVE : when replacing an injector holder, order a component of the same category ; the engine must be fitted with 4 injector holders of the same category .

3 - REMOVAL

IMPERATIVE : before any repair : wait 30 seconds after the ignition has been switched off .

Disconnect the battery .

Remove the style cover .

{{N13425}} écarter le faisceau injection (5) .

Detach and move aside :

• {{n13426}} les tuyaux (1) - (2) - (3) - (4) , et les obturer a l'aide des bouchons [1]
• the crankcase breather hoses (7)

{{N13427}} déposer le support de cache-style (6) .

IMPERATIVE : clean the high pressure unions before slackening .

Unscrew :

• {{n13428}} les raccords (8) , en maintenant le raccord sur injecteur (d) a l'aide d'une cle plate
• the hoses (9)

Remove :

• {{n13429}} les tuyaux haute pression carburant (10)
• the diesel return pipe (11)

IMPERATIVE : blank the holes with the caps [1] .

IMPERATIVE : do not handle the nut (E) .

Remove :

• the bolts (12)
• {{n13430}} les fourchettes de fixation des porte-injecteurs (13)
• the thrust buttons (14)
• the injector holders (15)
• the sealing rings (16)
• the copper seals (17)

IMPERATIVE : {{n13431}} obturer les puits des porte-injecteurs et les orifices a l'aide de bouchons [1] .

4 - REFITTING

IMPERATIVE : {{n13432}} remplacer les tuyaux haute pression carburant deposes .

Remove the blanking caps [1] from the injector recesses .

Position :

• the new copper seals (17)
• the new sealing rings (16)
• the injector holders (15)
• the thrust buttons (14)
• {{n13430}} les fourchettes de fixation des porte-injecteurs (13)
• the bolts (12) ; finger tighten
• {{n13429}} les tuyaux haute pression carburant (10) ; manually tighten the connectors

Continue the fitting operations in the reverse order to removal .

Initialise the various ECUs .

5 - LEAKAGE CHECK

Carry out a road test .

Engage 3rd gear ; Stabilise the engine speed at 1000 rpm .

Accelerate fully up to 3500 rpm .

Check that there are no fuel leaks .
