MECHANICAL ACTION FUNCTION : SHIFT-LOCK

The Shift-Lock function is a safety system which immobilises the gear selection lever in position P if the driver does not press the brake pedal .

1 - RELEASING THE SHIFT-LOCK

Gear lever in position P .

Switch on the ignition .

Press the brake pedal .

Move the gear selection lever .

2 - UNABLE TO RELEASE THE FUNCTION : SHIFT-LOCK

Battery voltage .

Electro-magnet on the gear selection lever unit .

Gear selection lever position switch .

Automatic transmission control unit .

Electrical harness .

Brake pedal switch .
