REMOVAL - REFITTING GEARBOX CONTROLS

1 - REMOVAL

Remove :

• the air cleaner assembly
• the ball joint (1) ; using the tool [6]
• the clip (en A)

AL4 AUTOMATIC GEARBOX

Remove :

• the gear lever knob (2) (clipped)
• the central console (3)

AL4 AUTOMATIC GEARBOX

Disconnect the electrical connections (18) - (19) .

Remove :

• the relay (20)
• the automatic gearbox control unit fixings

ALL MODELS

Raise the vehicle .

Remove :

• the exhaust hanger (16)
• the mountings for the heat shield

Move the heat shield as far back as possible .

Remove the gear lever assembly .

2 - REFITTING

Proceed in the reverse order to removal .

IMPERATIVE : to fasten the ball joint (1), place a stop under the gear selection lever (17) (e.g. tool [6]) .

adjust the gear lever (new or incorrectly adjusted lever) (If necessary) .
