SETTING THE REFERENCE HEIGHT (H1) - (H2)

The front tracking can be checked and adjusted at kerb weight (symmetrical wear of the tyres) .

To check all the angles (castor, camber, tracking), it is necessary to place the vehicle at reference height .

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] Set of 2 suspension compressors (-).0916-A .

[2] Set of 2 shackles (-).0916-C .

[3] Set of 4 setting rods (-).0916-D .

[4] Set of 2 straps (-).0916-B .

[5] Set of 2 slings (-).0102-M .

2 - TOOLS TO BE MADE LOCALLY

[6] Half-clip assembly PR: 1713.55 .

Drill the 4 holes of the half-clip assembly to ø 11.5 mm .

3 - SETTING THE REFERENCE HEIGHT

3 - 1 - RECOMMENDATION BEFORE SETTING THE VEHICLE TO THE REFERENCE HEIGHT

WARNING : front and rear suspension geometry checks and front suspension geometry adjustment must be performed with the suspension accurately compressed to the reference height, in a suspension checking bay .

Check :

• the tyres and their pressures are correct
• the front wheels are in the straight ahead position

Correct any out-of-true of the wheels .

3 - 2 - AT THE FRONT (H1)

Engage the straps [4] fitted with their shackles [2] on the sub frame .

Fit the suspension compressor [1] .

Select the most suitable notches (A) to pull on the straps as nearly vertically as possible .

Compress the suspension to obtain a body height H1 (reference height) both sides, measured between the flange (A) and the ground .

WARNING : take the height of the turntables into account when measuring the reference height H1 .

NOTE : only the track is adjustable .

WARNING : the value of the tracking varies in relation to the height of the vehicle .

CHECK AND ADJUSTMENT OF THE FRONT AXLE .

3 - 3 - AT THE REAR (H2)

Position the half-clips [6] on the bolts (1) permitting securing of the tow bar .

Retain the clips using (2) 10mm diameter nuts .

Engage the slings [5] around the half-clips [6] .

Fit the suspension compressor [1] .

Select the most suitable notches (A) to pull on the straps as nearly vertically as possible .

Compress the suspension to obtain a body height H2 (reference height) both sides, measured between the flange (B) and the ground .

WARNING : take the height of the turntables into account when measuring the reference height H2 .

Check that the height H1 measured at the front has not changed .

WARNING : the angles of the rear suspension cannot be adjusted .
