REMOVAL - REFITTING FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] Spring compressor U77 FACOM .

[2] Spring compressor MG INTERNATIONAL .

[3] Cups .

2 - REMOVAL

REMOVE THE SUSPENSION STRUT .

Place the coils of the spring in the spring compressor support forks [2] .

Compress the spring .

WARNING : when compressing the spring, check that the coils are correctly positioned in the support forks .

Remove :

• the shock absorber rod nut (1) ; prevent the rotation of the shock absorber rod using the end piece TORX 45
• the damper (5)
• the upper damper cup (2)
• the stop (3)
• the shock absorber rod protector (4)

WARNING : opening the FACOM tool to maximum does not allow the spring to release from the tool .

3 - REFITTING

Proceed in the reverse order to removal .

Always replace the nut (1) and tighten it to 6.9 daN.m .

FIT THE SUSPENSION STRUT .
