REMOVAL - REFITTING FRONT ANTI -ROLL BAR

1 - REMOVAL

Lift and support the vehicle with front wheels suspended .

Remove :

• the connecting rod nuts on the anti-roll bar (1)
• the bush mounting bolts (2)
• the anti-roll bar rubber mounting clamp (3)
• the rubber mounting
• the anti-roll bar

1 - 1 - BEARING IDENTIFICATION

The anti-roll bar is supported in two flexible bearings (4) .

The lateral and horizontal position is fixed by two flat surfaces (A) inside the bush (4) and recesses (B) on the bar section .

A clamp (3) retains the assembly .

2 - REFITTING

Move aside the bushes .

Align the internal flats (A) with the mouldings (B) on the anti-roll bar (one on either side) .

Fit the clamp (3) to the rubber bearing (4) .

Position the bar so that the coloured locating tab is on the right .

Continue the fitting operations in the reverse order to removal .

Tightening torques :

• mounting (1) link to anti-roll bar ; 3.6 da.Nm
• anti-roll bar bearing(s) mounting (2) ; 10.4 da.Nm
