REMOVAL - REFITTING FRONT WISHBONE

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] Ball joint extractor (-).0709 .

[2] Swivel ball joint uncoupling lever (-).0622 .

2 - REMOVAL

Place the vehicle on a lift .

Slacken the wheel bolts .

Lift and support the vehicle with front wheels suspended .

Remove the wheel .

Remove :

• the nut (1)
• the nut (2)

Uncouple the connecting rod .

Remove :

• the nut (3) on the wishbone rear fixing
• the nut (4) on the wishbone front fixing
• the nut (5) for the pivot ball joint

Extract the wishbone from the pivot using the tool [1] .

Uncouple the wishbone using the tool [2], taking care not to damage the ball joint with the chain of the tool [2] .

Push the carrying unit towards the front in such a way as to extract the front fixing bolt from the wishbone .

Extract the rear fixing bolt from the wishbone .

Remove the wishbone .

3 - REFITTING

Replace the wishbone equipped with its flexible mountings .

Proceed in the reverse order to removal .

Fit new Nyloc nuts .

Tightening torques :

• nut (1) attaching link to anti-roll bar ; 3.6 da.Nm
• nut (2) fixing the connecting rod ; 3.6 da.Nm
• nuts (3) - (4) fixing the wishbone on the subframe ; 11 da.Nm
• pivot ball joint nut ; 5 da.Nm
• wheel bolts ; 9 da.Nm
