DRAINING - FILLING - BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] Filler plug : Brake fluid reservoir (-).0810 .

Use a PEUGEOT approved automatic bleeding equipment .

2 - DRAIN AND REFILL

Remove the filter from the brake fluid reservoir (1) .

Drain the brake fluid reservoir using a clean syringe .

Refit the brake fluid reservoir filter .

3 - REFILLING

IMPERATIVE : use only clean fluid free from bubbles; avoid any introduction of impurities into the hydraulic system .

Use only approved and recommended hydraulic fluid(s) : DOT 4 .

Renew the brake fluid in the calipers by bleeding the circuit until clean fluid flows out .

WARNING : during the bleeding operation : keep the fluid topped up in the reservoir .

4 - RECOMMENDATION BEFORE BLEEDING A BRAKE CIRCUIT

Following work on the master cylinder or the abs unit bleed in sequence :

Following work on a caliper or a wheel cylinder, bleed in the following order :

NOTE : if the master cylinder is removed-refitted, it is advisable to complete the automatic bleed with a manual bleed .

ANTI-LOCK BRAKES

The hydraulic units are supplied pre-filled ; It is therefore possible to carry out :

If the bleeding of the circuit is not satisfactory, it is possible to bleed the ABS unit using TEP 92, DIAG 2000 diagnostic equipment, following the directions given by it .

It will be necessary to use the diagnostic equipment if the following conditions have occurred simultaneously :
