REMOVAL - REFITTING TAILGATE

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] Tailgate removal wrench (-)1355-A .

2 - REMOVAL

Remove :

• the rear parcel tray
• THE BOTTOM TRIM (2)
• THE TAILGATE UPPER CENTRE TRIM (3)
• THE SIDE UPPER TRIMS (4)
• the boot lock (5)

Disconnect :

• the tailgate push button connector
• the rear screen demisting connectors
• the windscreen wiper motor connector

Detach :

• the tailgate harness
• the harness (6) passage gaiter (7)

Remove from each side :

• the 3 mountings (8)
• the quarter panel lower trim (9)
• the quarter panel upper trim (10)

Remove :

• the 2 grab handles (12)
• the 2 mountings (11)

Move aside the headlining (13) .

NOTE : for the following operations, two operators are necessary : support the tailgate and remove the tailgate struts .

Pass the tool [1] between the trim and the roof to remove the tailgate fixings .

Remove the tailgate .

3 - REFITTING

Proceed in the reverse order to removal .

Replace the tailgate mounting nuts (Tightening torque to 1.6 da.Nm) .

Adjust the clearances and the flush fitting values (if necessary) .

Check the operation of the electrical equipment .
