REMOVAL - REFITTING REAR DOOR ELECTRIC WINDOW MECHANISM

1 - REMOVAL

REAR DOOR TRIM PANEL .

Remove ; The sealing sheet .

Raise the window until the window mounting bolt appears in the opening (A) .

Remove the 2 window fixings .

Retain the window in the highest position using adhesive tape .

Lower the mechanism to the lowest position .

Remove the interior opening control (1) .

Unclip the rod (2) .

Knock in the rivet heads before drilling .

Using a 10 mm drill bit, drill out the rivets (3) .

When removing the rivets, protect the door panel .

Pull the electric window mechanism towards (B) then towards the inside .

Remove the window mechanism via the opening (C) .

Drill out the rivet shanks remaining on the window winder mechanism .

Vacuum the bottom of the door to extract the remains of the rivets .

2 - REFITTING

IMPERATIVE : fit new seals, which must be assembled without folds and tears ; the bearing surface on the interior panel needs to absolutely clean ; run a wheel over the parts of the flange to be bonded ; these recommendations are essential to prevent possible entry of water, dust or noise .

Proceed in the reverse order to removal .

REFIT THE REAR DOOR TRIM PANEL .

Check the operation .
