PAINT REPAIR TIME SCHEDULE PRESENTATION
The paint operations are divided into 4 classes
.
Category 0
:
-
concerns new bodies and the new detachable components completely removed and painted on a support (interior and exterior)
-
comprises priming on 2 faces, sanding, spraying of paint on 2 faces, spraying of lacquer (for two-part paint) in the paint booth, cleaning the work station, removing the painted item
Category 1
:
-
concerns repaired components for which restoring the base amounts to more than 20 % of the surface of the unit and the welded components on the vehicle
-
comprises the application of an etch primer on the areas stripped bare, priming on 2 faces, the application if necessary of mastics, sanding, spraying of paint on 2 faces, spraying of lacquer (for two-coat paint) in the paint booth ; the masking and unmasking, cleaning of the work station, removing the vehicle
Category 2
:
-
concerns the repaired components, for which the repair of the base amounts to less than 20 % of the component's surface
-
comprises the application of an etch primer on the areas stripped bare, priming on 2 faces of the repaired surface, the application if necessary of mastics, sanding, spraying of paint on the repaired interior surface and on the external surface ; spraying of lacquer (for two-coat paint) in the paint booth, the masking and unmasking, cleaning of the work station, removing the vehicle
Category 3
:
-
concerns the components, for which it is not necessary to repair the base
-
comprises sanding of the surface to be painted, spraying on of paint and lacquer (for two-coat paint), the masking and unmasking, cleaning of the work station, removing the vehicle
NOTE :
the anti-chip treatment is not included in these diifferent classes, nor is the removal/refitting time required for any accessories
.
1 -
FIXED PAINTING TIME (OPERATION 70.000 U)
A fixed painting time of 0,70 h for one-coat paint and 1,00 h for two-coat paint is added to the paint operations shown in the repair time schedule, whatever the number of components painted
.
This fixed time comprises: preparation of the colour, producing one or several plates to correct this, cleaning the instruments and spray guns, replacing the products where they are stored
.
NOTE :
when painting parts with a suface area less than 5 dm2, only the painting time, and no other time, will be taken into account for invoicing
.
2 -
INVOICING OF PAINT WORK
2 - 1 -
INVOICING OF A COMPONENT
Record the time of the operation corresponding to the class of paint used then add to this time the fixed time of 0,70 hour or 1,00 hour depending on the type of paint
.
Example
:
-
paint class 2 : bonnet 3,20
-
fixed painting time 1,00
-
total 4,20
2 - 2 -
INVOICING OF 2 LINKED COMPONENTS
Record the time of the operation corresponding to the class of paint used for each component, then deduct 15 % from the total
.
Add to this time the fixed time of 0,70 hour or 1,00 hour
.
Example
:
-
paint class 2 : bonnet 3,20
-
paint class 1 : front RH wing 2,50
-
sub-total 5,70 (-15%) = 4,80
-
fixed painting time 1,00
-
total 5,80
If, during this painting work, painting of a component not juxtaposed to the two previous components is carried out, add the time corresponding to the class used without any deduction
.
Example
:
-
paint class 2 : bonnet 3,20
-
paint class 1 : front RH wing 2,50
-
sub-total 5,70 (-15%) = 4,80
-
paint class 3 : left rear wing 2,50
-
fixed painting time 1,00
-
total 8,30
2 - 3 -
INVOICING OF 3 LINKED COMPONENTS
Same procedure as previously, but the deduction is 20 %
.
Example
:
-
paint class 2 : bonnet 3,20
-
paint class 1 : front RH wing 2,50
-
paint class 3 : front LH wing 1,70
-
sub-total 7,40 (-20%) = 6,00
-
fixed painting time 1,00
-
total 7,00
2 - 4 -
INVOICING OF 4 LINKED COMPONENTS
Same procedure as previously, but the deduction is 25 %
.
Example
:
-
paint class 3 : tailgate 1,40
-
paint class 1 : rear panel 2,80
-
paint class 2 : right rear wing 3,70
-
paint class 1 : left rear wing 2,90
-
sub-total 10,80 (-25%) = 8,10
-
fixed painting time 1,00
-
total 9,10
NOTE :
the addition of an anti-chip operation to a paint operation does not increase the number of components liable for a reduction, when calculating the invoicing time
.
Example
:
-
paint class 2 : right outside chassis leg + anti-chip treatment = 1 component
WARNING :
invoicing of the various paint processes is done by multiplying the equivalent hourly painting rate by the time invoiced
.
