REMOVAL - REFITTING LOWER COVER

1 - REMOVAL

Remove the shield under the power train .

Drain :

• the engine

Remove :

• THE ANCILLARY DRIVE BELT

Disconnect the compressor electrical supply .

Remove the air conduit (1) .

Move aside the air conditioning compressor (2) without opening the system .

Disconnect the sensor (3) .

Disconnect the crankcase oil remover pipe (4) .

Remove the 2 bolts (5) .

IMPERATIVE : remove the exhaust pipe to avoid damaging the flexible hose; this cannot withstand the torsion, traction or bending tensions caused by the removal of one of the power train supports .

Remove the bolt (6) from the reaction link .

Remove the securing bolt (7) from the dipstick tube fastener .

Tilt the engine towards the front of the vehicle .

Remove :

• the bolts (8) and (9)
• the sump (10)

2 - REFITTING

Clean the joint faces of the crankcase and the oil sump .

Coat the joint face of the casing (10) with or auto joint compound .

Fit the sump (10) .

Replace the 22 bolts (8) (HM 7 X 21) .

Replace the 2 bolts (9) (HM 7 X 40) .

Tighten the bolts (8) - (9) to 0,1 daN.m .

Replace the 2 bolts (5) .

Tightening torque : 0,1 da.Nm .

Slacken the bolts (5) .

Tighten the bolts (8) - (9) to 1,6 daN.m .

Tighten the bolts (5) to 6 daN.m .

Continue the fitting operations in the reverse order to removal .

refit the air conditioning compressor .

IMPERATIVE : always refill with new oil .
