CYLINDER REFERENCE SENSOR AIR GAP ADJUSTMENT

1 - NEW CYLINDER REFERENCE SENSOR

Peg the crankshaft .

Position the cylinder reference sensor on the cylinder head cover .

Position the sensor at the stop on the camshaft ring .

Tighten the bolt (2) to 0.2 da.Nm .

Connect the harness .

2 - RE-USED CYLINDER REFERENCE SENSOR

Remove the adjusting stud (1) .

Peg the crankshaft .

Remove :

• the top timing cover

Using a set of shims [1], create a 1,2 mm pile which is as flexible as possible .

Position the cylinder reference sensor on the cylinder head cover .

Move the pile of shims between the sensor and the camshaft ring .

Move the sensor until it stops against the shims .

Tighten the bolt (2) to : 0.2 da.Nm .

Connect the harness .
