REMOVAL - REFITTING CYLINDER-HEAD COVER

1 - REMOVAL

Remove :

• the style covers
• the top timing cover

WARNING : fit the coolant pump fixing bolt to prevent a coolant leak .

Ignition off : Disconnect the battery .

Remove the bolt (1) .

NOTE : the bolt (1) has a captive washer .

Remove the target sensor (2) on the cylinder head cover .

Move aside The fuel return pipe from the clip .

Remove :

• the 2 click clips of the 2 pipes relating to the cylinder head cover
• the 2 pipes
• the cylinder head cover

2 - REFITTING

Clean the joint face .

Replace the cylinder-head cover seal .

WARNING : ensure that the seal is positioned correctly in its housing .

Fit the cylinder head cover .

IMPERATIVE : tighten bolt by bolt and in the order indicated .

Tightening torque 0.9 da.Nm .

Refit :

• the fuel return pipe from the clip
• the separator pipes and click clips

refit and adjust the air gap of the sensor (2) .

Remove the coolant pump fixing bolt .

Refit the upper timing cover : Tighten the bolts to 0.7 da.Nm .

Tighten the coolant pump bolts : 1.5 da.Nm .

Connect the battery .

Refit the styling covers .
