REFILLING ADDITIVE RESERVOIR

1 - PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN

IMPERATIVE : before carrying out any work, put on goggles and gloves .

2 - ELIMINATION - RECYCLING

The empty packaging and the kit pipes (which are specific industrial waste) will be stored in the soiled packaging container .

The opened cans (which must never be reused) and the overflow cans will be closed carefully and stored in a special container (x) while awaiting collection by an elimination/recycling service .

(x) A 20 litre plastic container cut at the top is ideal .

IMPERATIVE : the filling kit, the opened cans and the empty containers must not be reused in any circumstances .

3 - DESCRIPTION OF THE FILLING KIT

1 1 litre can of product .

1 1 litre empty container for the overflow .

1 Filling pipes with plug and click-on union .

1 Overflow pipe .

1 Equipment necessary for suspending the can of product .

4 - REFILLING

Place the vehicle on a lift .

DW12TED4 ENGINE

ALL MODELS

Disconnect the click-on union from the additive reservoir breather (1) .

DW12TED4 ENGINE

ALL MODELS

Remove the overflow plug from the additive reservoir (2) .

Connect the female click-on union of the receptacle to the click-on union (1) of the additive reservoir breather circuit .

Connect the recovery receptacle pipe (3) to the additive reservoir overflow .

DW12TED4 ENGINE

ALL MODELS

Suspend the additive receptacle at a level higher thanthat of the additive reservoir .

Make a hole in the additive receptacle at (A) (shown by a triangle on the receptacle) .

When all of the liquid has flowed out, disconnect the click-on union .

Repeat the filling operation again until the liquid flows from the additive reservoir overflow .

NOTE : the maximum capacity of the additive reservoir is 5 litres, the filling operation will be carried out using 5 receptacles maximum .

IMPERATIVE : all opened receptacles as well as the unions used for the filling operation must be recycled (in accordance with the regulations in force in the country concerned) .

Refit the additive reservoir overflow plug (2) .

Reconnect the additive reservoir breather click-on union (1) .

5 - RE-INITIALISATION OF ECU

[1] Diagnostic equipment DIAG 2000 .

A - Reset to zero the total amount of additive in the multifunction engine management ecu CMM using the tool DIAG 2000 following the procedure below :

B - Simulate filling of the fuel tank to switch off the particulate emission filter warning light :

C - Check the status of the particulate emission filter under parameter measurements, at the same point as the service operation (particulate emission filter/additive ecu by means of the particulate emission filter status and pef input/output pressure difference parameters :
