1 - 1 - PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

The Key-Lock function is a safety system which retains the key (1) in the ignition switch (2) if the gear selection lever is not in the Park position .

2 - UNABLE TO RELEASE THE FUNCTION : KEY-LOCK

2 - 1 - CAUSES

Battery voltage .

Electro-magnet on ignition switch .

Automatic transmission control unit .

Electrical harness .

2 - 2 - EMERGENCY SOLUTION

Insert a screwdriver into the opening (A) as far as it will go (B) .

Take out the ignition key .
