REMOVAL - REFITTING TORQUE CONVERTER SEAL

1 - TOOLING

[1] Converter seal fitting drift (-).0336-H .

[2] Converter support and position check pin (-).0336-E2 .

[3] Converter lip seal extraction hook (-).0336-P .

2 - REMOVAL

Remove the converter .

Precautions to be taken :

• even though the gearbox has been drained, the converter contains a significant amount of fluid
• extract the seal using the hook [3]

3 - REFITTING

Lubricate a new lip seal .

Fit the new seal using the tool [1] .

Refit the converter .

WARNING : take care not to damage the lip seal .

Turn the converter until it engages completely .

Check that the converter is positioned correctly by refitting the tool [2] .
