MODIFICATION WHEEL BOLTS

2 - IDENTIFICATION

(1) Wheel bolt, type a mixed fitting .

This new wheel bolt type a mixed fitting is used to tighten wheels of the following types :

• light-alloy wheels (with flat span mounting)
• steel spare wheel (with conical span mounting)

2 - 1 - EARLIER ASSEMBLY

(2) Standard wheel bolts .

(2) Standard wheel bolts .

(3) Steel spare wheel .

(4) Light-alloy wheels .

2 - 2 - LATER ASSEMBLY

(1) Mixed fitting wheel bolts .

(3) Steel spare wheel .

(4) Light-alloy wheels .

This modification involves the following modifications :

• addition of a spot facing in light alloy wheel fixture recess
• elimination of inserts allowing spare wheel to be fitted with flat span bolts

3 - INTERCHANGEABILITY

The new light alloy wheel accepts both the old and the new bolt .

WARNING : the old light alloy wheel is not compatible with the new bolt .
