REMOVAL - REFITTING BONNET

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] : Adjustment shims ( Workshop reference (-).1349-F) .

2 - REMOVAL

Remove :

• the style covers (1)
• the upper radiator grille half-grilles (2)
• the scuttle grille (3)

Unclip the arcing stops (4) .

Unscrew the lock nut from the stop (5) and place the stop in the lowest possible position .

Insert the shims [1] in the locating holes and support them .

Remove the fasteners (6), Allow the bonnet lock to hang down (7) .

Beside each adjustment stop (5) fix a ball of mastic approximately 30 mm thick, and stick a paper on the top of the ball .

On each side, Slacken the fasteners (8), Slightly re-tighten to adjust the bonnet .

Unclip the bonnet struts (9) and fold them down .

Part close the bonnet gently, supporting it on the shims [1] .

Adjust the bonnet ( Fits and clearances) .

A = 3.28 ± 1.7 mm .

B = 2.3 ± 2 mm .

C = 2.3 ± 2.8 mm .

Open the bonnet, Tighten the fastenings (8) and the stops (5) .

3 - REFITTING

Proceed in the reverse order to removal .

Adjust the bonnet lock by several successive opening and closing manoeuvres .

Check the strength of the closed bonnet, which should still be tensioned .

Bolts (6) tightening torque 0.8 ± 0.2 da.Nm .
