REMOVAL - REFITTING REAR BUMPER

1 - REMOVAL

Remove the rear mud guard fastener (1) .

Move aside the rear part of the mud guard .

Remove the rear fixing (2) from the bumper (3) on the rear wing (4) .

Unscrew the centre fixing (5) from the bumper .

Remove :

• the boot carpet
• THE TAIL PANEL TRIM

Partly remove the boot side trim parts (6) and fold them downwards towards the centre of the boot .

Remove the side fixings (7) from the bumper .

Remove the rear centre fixings (8) from the bumper .

On each side : Unclip the bumper downwards at (A) .

On the right-hand side :

• disconnect and release the lighting harness from the number plate

Special features : On the left-hand side :

• disconnect and release the harness for the parking assistance detectors (according to specification)
• disconnect and release the telephone aerial harness (according to specification)

Remove the bumper and its centre bracket .

2 - REFITTING

IMPERATIVE : if a clip is damaged when removing boot side trim pieces, replace it .

IMPERATIVE : IF A CLIP HOLDER IS DAMAGED, REPLACE IT .

Reconnect the electrical harnesses (According to specification) .

On each side : Clip the bumper at (A) .

Continue the fitting operations in the reverse order to removal .

Check the operation of the electrical equipment .
