REMOVAL - REFITTING FRONT HEADLIGHT BEAM SENSOR

1 - REMOVAL

Place the vehicle on a lift .

Remove the shield under the engine (1) .

On the sub-frame :

• disconnect the connector (2)
• remove the fastener (3)
• detach the sensor bracket

Using an open-ended spanner, hold the shaft (4) .

Remove the nut (5) .

Remove the sensor (6) .

2 - REFITTING

Proceed in the reverse order to removal .

Carry out initialisation, Check the parameter of the headlamp levelling control .

WARNING : if removing the yoke (7), position it on the anti-roll bar at A = 66 mm, according to the above view .

Adjust the sensor in an angular position by applying the following DIAG2000 procedure :

• connect the DIAG 2000
• associated services
• test by function
• select : headlamp height corrector
• select : parameter measurements
• select : condition of the sensors
• move the sensor at an angle to line up the sensor signal with the initial value of the front sensor
• tighten the fittings of the sensor once it is adjusted
• carry out the initialisation procedure
