CHECK FILLING THE COMPRESSOR WITH OIL
1 - SPECIAL TOOLS
[1] dipstick for checking the compressor oil level (-).1518 .
[2] 17 mm open end adaptor for torque wrench .
IMPERATIVE : the oil level is checked when the refrigerant circuit is empty .
WARNING : ensure that the vehicle is on a level surface .
2 - OIL LEVEL CHECK
precautions to be taken .
Remove the plug (1) with the spanner [2] .
Turn the compressor by hand to show through the filler opening :
The dipstick must enter the compressor without excessive constraint .
Position the inclined face of the gauge [1] against the body of the compressor .
WARNING : when the operation is performed on a removed compressor, ensure that it is horizontal, filler plug to the top .
The value to be obtained is : 4.5 ± 0.5 graduations .
3 - FILLING THE COMPRESSOR WITH OIL
Remove the plug .
Check the oil level .
Adjust the level to obtain the specified value .
Replace the plug .
IMPERATIVE : USE ONLY THE OIL RECOMMENDED IN THE IDENTIFICATION - DATA SECTION .
NOTE : replacing a compressor (without a rapid loss of fluid); measure the oil level in the removed compressor, leave an identical quantity of oil in the new compressor .
