2 - FITTING THE HARNESS
Switch off the ignition .
Remove the 15 a fuse at position (21) on the built-in systems interface .
2 - 1 - STRIPPING THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT
Remove the trim (42) .
Remove the trim (23) : On the left-hand side .
Remove the trim (24) .
Drill the spare wheel carrier to 18 mm diameter at (25) .
IMPERATIVE : retain the rubber blank (18) to re-seal the body when the towbar and the harness are removed .
Engage section (C) of the harness fitted with its grommet (4) from the luggage compartment to the towbar via the harness passage (25) .
Correctly clip the grommet (4) of the harness in its housing .
2 - 2 - CONNECTION OF SECTION (B) OF THE HARNESS, ON THE RIGHT REAR LIGHT
Disconnect the vehicle harness connector (26) and connect it to the caravan towing harness connector (3) .
Clip the connectors (3) - (26) at (27) on the securing bracket .
Connect the (2) connector of the caravan towing harness with the connector (28) of the vehicle harness .
If the vehicle is fitted with proximity detectors in the rear bumper, disconnect the connectors (29) and (30) (taped to the vehicle harness) .
Connect the vehicle harness connector (30) to the caravan towing harness connector (1) .
Tape the connectors (1) - (29) - (30) to the vehicle harness .
2 - 3 - ROUTING OF THE TOWING HARNESS, FROM THE RIGHT REAR LIGHT TO THE LEFT REAR LIGHT
Open the securing clamps (31) of the vehicle harness .
Route the caravan towing harness in the clamps .
2 - 4 - CONNECTION OF SECTION (A) OF THE HARNESS, ON THE LEFT REAR LIGHT
Disconnect the connector (32) from the vehicle light .
Connect the vehicle harness connector (32) to the caravan towing harness connector (16) .
Clip the connectors (16) - (32) at (33) on the securing bracket .
Connect the vehicle harness connector (17) to the caravan towing harness connector (34) .
Disconnect the vehicle harness connector (37) and connect it to the caravan towing harness connector (7) .
Clip the connectors (7) - (37) at (36) on the securing bracket .
Connect the (5) connector of the caravan towing harness with the connector (35) of the vehicle harness .
Clip the relays (9) - (10) at (38) - (39) on the securing bracket .
Connect the earth terminal (6) to the vehicle earth (40) .
Clamp the earth wire to the vehicle harness with the tie wrap (20) .

2 - 5 - PASSAGE OF SECTION (C) OF THE HARNESS INTO THE SEALING SLEEVE
Adapt the diameter of the sealing sleeve (22) to the diameter of the harness (C) .
Engage the sealing sleeve (22) on the towbar harness (C) .
2 - 6 - CONNECTION OF SECTION (C) OF THE HARNESS
Unclip the socket (11) from the base (12) .
13-way socket :
Connect wire (N) to terminal no. 3 .
7-way socket :
Connect wire (N) to terminal no. 3/31 .
7/13-way socket :
Connect wire (N) to terminal no. 3/31 .
2 - 7 - SECURING THE SOCKET TO THE TOWBAR
Clip the socket (11) to the base (12) .
Fit the base assembly, the socket and the sleeve onto the towing frame with the fittings .
Seal the caravan towbar harness connection (C) with the sealing sleeve (22) of the socket using the blocks of mastic (8) .
