REMOVAL - REFITTING FRONT BRAKE CALIPERS (BOSCH CALIPER SERIES 5)

1 - REMOVAL

Remove the wheel .

REMOVE THE BRAKE PADS .

Disconnect the brake hose (1) on the rigid pipe (2) and recover the u clip (3) .

Plug the brake pipe (2) .

Remove the brake hose .

Remove :

• the bolts (4) of the caliper bracket (5)
• the caliper + bracket assembly (5)

2 - REFITTING

Visually check :

• the sealing of the piston
• THE DISC FOR WEAR

Refit the caliper with its bracket .

Fit 2 new bolts (4) (coated with threadlock)) .

Tighten the 2 bolts (4) to 10.5 da.Nm. .

Fit :

• the brake hose to the caliper
• tightening torque 1.5 da.Nm
• the brake hose on the rigid pipe
• tightening torque 1.6 da.Nm

WARNING : take care not the twist the brake hose .

FIT THE BRAKE PADS .

BLEED THE BRAKE CIRCUIT .

Fit the wheel .

Tighten the wheel bolts to 9 da.Nm .

WARNING : check that the brake hose does not touch the wheel when it is at full lock; if it does, refit the brake hose .
