REMOVAL - REFITTING BRAKE SERVO

1 - REMOVAL

Remove :

• the battery cover
• the battery
• the battery tray
• THE MASTER-CYLINDER

Detach the electrical harnesses .

LEFT HAND DRIVE

Remove :

• the shaft (1)
• the 4 nuts (2)
• remove the pedal bracket (3) while moving aside the clips (4)

RIGHT HAND DRIVE

Remove :

• the shaft (5)
• the 4 nuts (2)

Remove the pedal bracket (3) while moving aside the clips (4) .

ALL MODELS

Uncouple the vacuum pipe (6) from the brake servo unit .

Remove the brake servo unit (7) .

2 - REFITTING

Fit a new seal on the brake servo unit and on the master cylinder .

WARNING : always renew : the shaft (1) (left hand drive) ; the shaft (5) (right hand drive) .

Lubricate the pins .

NOTE : check the brake servo unit piston rod recess X = 19,85 ± 1,3 mm (this measurement is taken between the master cylinder support face and the head of the piston rod) .

Proceed in the reverse order to removal .

REFIT THE MASTER CYLINDER .

BLEED THE BRAKES .

Tightening torque(s) :

• nuts (2) to 2 m.daN
