REMOVAL - REFITTING ALTERNATOR

1 - REMOVAL

Disconnect the battery .

Remove :

• the style cover (1)
• THE ANCILLARY DRIVE BELT

Partly move aside the sheathing of the electric harness ; Engine .

Disconnect the electrical connections ; Alternator .

AIR CONDITIONING

MOVE ASIDE THE AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR (2) WITHOUT OPENING THE SYSTEM .

WARNING : take care not to bend the refrigerant pipes (risk of damage) .

Slacken the bolt (3) so that the bolt (4) is no longer gripped .

ALL MODELS

Remove :

• the alternator rear upper fixing
• the bolt (5)
• the tensioning roller (6)
• the pulley support bolt (7)
• the alternator (8), moving it slightly to the right of the vehicle, and remove it upwards

2 - REFITTING

WARNING : check for the presence of the spacers on the ancillaries mounting before refitting the alternator .

Refit the alternator (8) .

IMPERATIVE : tighten the fasteners to the correct torque starting with the two fasteners on the pulley side .

Tightening torques :

• bolt(s) (3) to 2 m.daN
• bolt(s) (4) to 4 m.daN
• bolt(s) (5) to 4 m.daN
• bolt(s) (7) to 4 m.daN
• top rear fastening ; 4 da.Nm
• pulley nut ; 4 da.Nm

AIR CONDITIONING

REFIT THE AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR .

ALL MODELS

Continue the fitting operations in the reverse order to removal .

Connect the battery .

Initialise the various ECUs .
