REMOVAL - REFITTING : REAR SUSPENSION SPRING

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] Rear suspension units compression tool (-).0915-D .

[2] 2 rear spring compression cups (-).0917-D7 .

[3] 2 support rings (-).0915-D8 .

2 - REMOVAL

Removal :

The threads of the compression tools must be lubricated before each use .

POSITION THE COMPRESSION TOOLS OF THE REAR SUSPENSION UNITS [1], [2], [3] .

Compress the spring until the rear spring support is no longer in contact with the body .

Raise the bottom wishbone at (A) to ease removal of the wishbone fixing bolts .

Remove the top pivot pin (1) and the nut (2) .

Slacken the bolts (3) and (4) .

Release the lower pin from the damper (5) without removing it .

Uncouple the link rod (6) from the anti-roll bar (7) .

Unclip the supply harnesses .

Lower the bottom wishbone, taking care not to pull on the brake hose .

Raise the top wishbone .

Remove the spring by unscrewing the nut from the equipment [1] .

3 - REFITTING

WARNING : clean the bolt threads, lubricate the bolts with MOLYKOTE G RAPIDE PLUS + frein filet grease .

Then proceed in the reverse order to removal, taking the following precautions .

Positioning of the wishbones before tightening the bolts .

Before tightening the wishbone mounting bolts, position them and apply pressure at (A) to obtain the dimension (B) between the two eyelets of the damper .

(B) = 425 mm .

4 - TIGHTENING TORQUES

Pivot top pin nut (2) : 5.5 da.Nm .

Bolts (3) and (4) for mounting the lower wishbone : 4 da.Nm .

Anti-roll bar rod lock nut : 5.7 da.Nm .

(5) Rear damper bottom fastener 8.5 daN.m .

Wheels : 9 da.Nm .
