REMOVAL - REFITTING FRONT BRAKE CALIPERS(CALIPER LUCAS)

1 - REMOVAL

Disconnect the brake pad wear warning leads .

Disconnect the hose connector (1) from the rigid brake pipes (2) .

Recover the U clip (3) .

Plug the brake hoses (1), (2) .

Remove the brake hose (1) .

Remove :

• the bolts (4) of the caliper bracket
• the caliper + bracket assembly

NOTE : clean the caliper threads, using a thread cutter M12 X 150 or a lode .

2 - REFITTING

Visually check :

• the sealing of the piston
• THE DISC FOR WEAR

Refit the caliper with its bracket .

Fit 2 new bolts (4) (coated with threadlock)) .

Tighten the bolts (4) to 10 daN.m .

Fit : The brake hose to the caliper, Tightening torque 1,5 da.Nm .

IMPERATIVE : route and clip exactly as before .

WARNING : take care not the twist the brake hose .

Fit : The brake hose to the rigid pipe (2) : Tightening torque 1,5 da.Nm .

Reconnect the brake pad wear warning leads .

FILL AND BLEED THE BRAKE CIRCUIT .
