CHECKS AND ADJUSTMENTS COMPRESSOR AIR GAP

1 - TOOLS REQUIRED

[1] set of feeler gauges .

2 - CHECK

Measure with feeler gauges [1] the air gap between the drive plate and the pulley .

Measure at 3 points at least .

Air gap value 0.4 to 0.8 mm .

3 - ADJUSTMENT

IF THE VALUE IS INCORRECT, REMOVE THE DRIVE PLATE .

Adjust the value by changing :

• the thickness of the washers (2)
• the number of washers (2)

Refit the drive plate .

Tighten the old nut (3) to 3.5 to 4 da.Nm .

Check the air gap value .

If necessary, re-adjust .

Fit a new nut (3) in place of the old one .

Tighten it to 3.5 to 4 da.Nm .
