REMOVAL - REFITTING HEATER MATRIX

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] hose clamp (-).1512 .

2 - REMOVAL

Disconnect the battery .

REMOVE THE FASCIA .

Depressurise the cooling system .

Clamp the matrix inlet and outlet hoses (1), Using the tool [1] .

Disconnect the hoses .

Remove the fastener (2) .

3 - REFITTING

IMPERATIVE : fit new O-rings to the matrix inlet and outlet pipes .

Disconnect the connector from the mixer reducer motor .

Remove the three fittings (3) from the reducer motor and remove it .

IMPERATIVE : place a receptacle under the connectors (4) of the heater matrix (5) .

Remove the fitting (6) to release the connectors (4) from the heater matrix (5) .

Release the harness (7) .

Push the connectors (4) to the bulkhead and retrieve the o rings .

Remove the two fittings (8) of the heater matrix (5) .

Release the three clips (9) retaining the heater matrix (5) .

Remove the heater matrix .

Reconnect the heater matrix pipes before repositioning it completely in its housing .

Proceed in the reverse order to removal .

NOTE : top up and bleed the cooling system .
