Activation 软件注册方法（或者叫软件激活）

When you first download and install VAG-COM, it will run in
"Shareware" mode. It will access all the control modules in your
car and perform a number of useful functions, but some functionality
is blocked until the software is registered and activated.

当你从网站下载安装之后，软件是“共享”模式的，可以在没有注册的情况下使用

大部分的功能，但是有些功能被锁住了，需要你注册以后才能使用。

VAG-COM generates a unique software Serial Number on each computer
it is installed on. In order to to Activate VAG-COM, you must provide the
Serial Number it generates on the computer on which you intend to use it.
You will find the serial number on the "About" screen of the program.

每台计算机的注册码是不相同的，当你购买注册码的时候，你必须告诉我你的

机器码，你点一下ABOUT，就能看到那个机器码（SERIAL NUMBER）。

Before requesting an Activation Code:

Please make sure  that VAG-COM communicates properly  with all the systems in your car. 

You can do a lot without 
activating the program!Note that the terms of our 
Satisfaction Guarantee are that no refunds will be given once
you have been provided with an permanent Activation Code!

All activations must be processed by a human being. Most
of the time, we process activation requests within a few 
hours. However, we get very busy at times, so please 
allow up to 24 hours for your request to be processed, 
and do not call us 5 minutes after you e-mail us your request 
demanding that we do it immediately. Please plan ahead a bit!

Activations are done via e-mail. If you want it done over 
phone, have your credit card handy -- there will be a $50 
surcharge for providing an activation code in real-time 
over the phone.

To request an Activation Code:
If you have purchased the system directly from Ross-Tech, and we
already have contact information on file for you, simply send us the 
Serial Number and your full name via an e-mail to Activation@Ross-Tech.com. 
If you purchased the system through a distributor, or are using an 
interface adapter other than ours, you must submit the 
registration form.

Activations are done via e-mail you want it done over 
phone, have your credit card handy -- there will be a $50 
surcharge for providing an activation code in real-time 
over the phone.

Important:
  Please use Copy and Paste to avoid typographical errors! 
If you can't e-mail from your laptop, copy and paste the serial 
number into a text file using the Notepad program on 
your laptop.  Save the file to a floppy disk, and take it to a 
computer from which you send and receive e-mail. 
Reverse this process when you receive your Activation Code.

在给我机器码的时候请用“复制”“粘贴”的方法。

Create and send an email to Activation@Ross-Tech.com
and include your Serial Number and your Full Name.

You should receive a reply by email
similar the one below within 24 hours.

Entering the Activation Code
Once you receive your Activation code, go to the 
Register/Activate/Transfer Screen and enter the code
and press Activate!

Again, please use Copy and Paste to avoid errors! 

Verifying the Activation
Once you have entered a valid Activation Code, the Activation
Code field should be disabled and say "Already Activated".
When you return to the About screen, the "License Status"
should read "Fully Registered/Activated" like this:

要看到"Fully Registered/Activated"字样。

Additional Notes:

Entering an invalid Activation Code can be very frustrating.
Please use Copy and Paste. :-)
If you somehow do not know how to copy and paste,
please see our Handy Tutorial!

If VAG-COM won't accept the Activation Code we've sent you,
the error message will always give you a "Reason" code.
If you're going to tell us that it didn't work, please be sure
to tell us the "Reason".

 Tip #1:
When we send out an activation code, we always include the 
Serial Number that it was generated for. Before entering
the Activation Code, please make sure the Serial Number 
hasn't changed (all you need to look at is the last four digits,
if they are the same, the rest is the same too). If the Serial
Number is not the same, do not enter the activation code;
contact us instead.

 Tip #2:
If you absolutely cannot use Copy & Paste to enter
the code, make sure you view the code in a font other
than Courier.  Many e-mail program display mail in
Courier, which is the font in this paragraph.
The problem with Courier is that there is often no
visible difference between l (lower-case L) and 1 (one).

The most common mistake people make is to mix up
l (lower-case L) and 1 (one).
If you look at these in a font such as Arial, which this
paragraph is written in, the difference is quite apparent,
especially if you make the point size large, like this:
l (lower-case L) and 1 (one)
