While it is important that an enterprise tackles with the environmental protection, it is more crucial that each employee has the consciousness that he is one of inhabitants on this planet and enhances this thinking. Employee of Mitsubishi Motors participate voluntarily in the environmental protection movements inside and outside our plants, and are gaining outstanding results and high evaluation at many places. Shiga Plant of our Kyoto Works received Prime Minister's Prize in 1995 for their contribution to Tree-Planting Movement. The Company has also extended many helping hands to the tree-planting movements undertaken by various organizations in order to propagate the environmental consciousness of employees. For instance in the afforestation campaign in Malaysia, we carried out the tree-planting service in about 380 hectare area of its Sabah Province as the 10-companies joint project.
