CHECK {{N11348}} PRESSSION D'ASSISTANCE DE DIRECTION

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

2 - PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN

WARNING : carry out the operation with care in order to prevent the entry of contaminating particles .

NOTE : correct operation of the equipment requires absolute cleanness of the fluid and the hydraulic components .

Check : The condition of the pipes and unions .

The belt tension .

3 - SETTING UP THE TOOLS


Prepare the checking assembly [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7] .


Hook on the tool [1] .

Remove :

4 - PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS


Move aside the high pressure pipes (2) .

{{N11349}} visser le raccord [6] sur le groupe électropompe de direction assistée .

Screw the union [7] onto the pipe (2) .

Tighten all the unions .

Fill the power steering reservoir 10 to mm above the maximum mark .

Open the tap [5] .

Start the engine (5 second(s)) .

Stop the engine .

Check :

Start the engine .

FILL AND BLEED THE HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT USING FRESH FLUID .

5 - PRESSURE CHECK

Start the engine .

Close the tap [5] for 7 seconds .

At fast idle (1200 to 1500 revs/min), the pressure must be :

{{N11353}} si la pression du groupe électropompe est correcte, contrôler l'étanchéité de la valve .

6 - CHECKING THE SEALING OF THE VALVE

Remove the shield under the power train .

Move aside the steering heat shield .


Unscrew the unions (4) on the steering ram .


Disconnect from the valve the two supply pipes (5) for the ram, and move them aside .

Fit the 2 caps on the valve [8]; Tightening torque 0,8 da.Nm .

Turn the steering slowly from lock to lock to drain the ram .

Top up the oil .

Open the tap [5] .

Start the engine .

Maintain the engine speed at fast idle .

Maintain the wheels at full lock to one side then the other .

The pressure should adjust to :

The pressure is correct :

The pressure is below the values above :

Rectify the circuit .

Proceed in the reverse order to removal .

Tightening torques :

BLEED THE HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT .
