REMOVAL - REFITTING POWER STEERING PUMP

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] High pressure union socket (-).0720.F .

2 - REMOVAL

WARNING : carry out the operation with care in order to prevent the entry of contaminating particles .

DW12TED4 ENGINE

REMOVE THE ANCILLARY DRIVE BELT .

EW10J4 ENGINE

REMOVE THE ANCILLARY DRIVE BELT .

ES9J4S ENGINE

REMOVE THE ANCILLARY DRIVE BELT .

ALL MODELS

DRAIN THE HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT .

Place a cloth round the power steering pump .

Unclamp the pipe (1) .

Unscrew the pipe (1) using the tool [1] .

Move aside the pipe (1) .

Move aside the pipe (2) .

Plug the openings .

Remove the bolts (3), (4), (5) .

Remove the power steering pump .

3 - REFITTING

Proceed in the reverse order to removal .

Tighten the bolts on the pulley side first .

Tightening torque(s) :

• the bolts (4), (5), (3) to 2,5 da.Nm
• high pressure union on the pump : 2 da.Nm

BLEED THE HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT .

IMPERATIVE : use new fluid when filling and topping up the system .
