REMOVAL - REFITTING POWER UNIT

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] Lifting table (-).0004 .

[2] Final drive output oil seal fitting drifts (-).0317-T .

Kit (-).0005 :

• [3] fixed angle bracket
• [4] side securing pin
• [5] pin
• [6] variable angle bracket

[7] Pipe with adapter for valve SHRADER (-).0141-T1 .

[8] Tool for unclipping the ball joints ø10 (-).0216-G1 .

[9] Tool for unclipping the ball joints ø13 (-).0216-G2 .

2 - REMOVAL

Remove the styling cover from the engine .

Lower the fuel pressure by connecting the end of the tool [7] to the valve SHRADER; catch the fuel in a receptacle .

Drain :

• THE COOLING SYSTEM
• the gearbox

WARNING : {{n12457}} ne pas vidanger le circuit de refrigeration .

remove the ancillary drive belt .

Remove :

• the front wheels
• FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY
• THE HEADLAMPS
• the bumper stiffener bar

Remove :

• the right top style cover (1)
• the air cleaner housing (2), the chamber (3), the throttle housing cap and the air intake manifold (fitted on the bumper)
• the accelerator cable

Unclamp :

• braking assistance pipe
• the fuel supply and return pipes
• the fuel breather unions

Remove :

• the battery cover (4)
• the battery
• the battery tray

Remove :

• the drive shafts
• the impacters (fixing on the gearbox lower housing)

Uncouple :

• the gearbox control rods ( using the tools [8] - [9])
• the exhaust pipe from the manifold

Remove :

• the torque reaction link (5)
• the radiator compartment

Move aside :

• the air conditioning capacitor
• the air conditioning compressor

REMOVE THE CLUTCH CONTROL .

Disconnect :

• the heater matrix pipes
• the earth leads
• the oxygen sensor
• the electrical connections

Fit the lifting plate with its rods under the engine [1] .

Insert the engine setting rods (Using the tools [3] - [4] - [5] - [6]) .

Slacken the bolts (6) - (7) .

Remove the right-hand upper engine mounting .

Slacken the bolts (8) - (9) .

Remove the left intermediate bracket .

Remove the motor .

3 - REFITTING

Offer up the engine with the lifting plate in the engine compartment .

Replace the left intermediate bracket then the top right bracket .

Run up the bolts : (6 - 7 - 8) .

Tighten :

• the bolt (6) - (7) to 6 da.Nm
• the bolt (8) to 3 da.Nm
• the bolt (9) to 6.5 da.Nm

Move aside the lifting plate and the engine setting rods .

Fit :

• the torque reaction link (5)
• the drive shafts

Tighten :

• the bolt (10) to 5.5 da.Nm
• the bolt (11) to 4.0 da.Nm

Reconnect :

• the electrical connections
• the earth leads
• the oxygen sensor
• the heater matrix pipes

Fit :

• THE CLUTCH CONTROL
• the air conditioning compressor
• the air conditioning capacitor
• the cooling radiator
• the manifold exhaust pipes (tightening torque 2.5 da.Nm)
• the impacters

Continue the fitting operations in the reverse order to removal .

fit the ancillary drive belt .

Fill the gearbox .

FILL AND BLEED THE COOLING SYSTEM .

Tighten the wheels to 9 daN.m .

Initialise the various ECUs .
