REMOVAL - REFITTING ELECTRIC SUNROOF MOTOR

1 - TOOLS TO BE MADE LOCALLY

2 - REMOVAL

3 DOOR SALOON

remove the screen pillar trim .

5 DOOR SALOON

remove the screen pillar trim .

ALL MODELS

Remove the sun visors .

WARNING : on a sun visor with illuminated mirror, add a grommet for use on refitting .

Remove :

• the sun visor retaining hooks
• the front grab handles
• the sunroof finishing stop ring
• the roof console
• the roof console bracket

Sunroof closed ; remove the sunroof moving panel .

NOTE : in the case of an electrical breakdown, close the sunroof using a six sided wrench at (A) .

Disconnect the connector (1) .

Remove :

• the fasteners (2)
• the motor (3)

3 - REFITTING

Set the mechanisms (4) and (5) at zero :

• move the (5) slide forward against the front stop
• move the runner (4) so that the holes (ø 3 mm diameter) of the two mechanisms are aligned
• fix this zero point position by means of setting rods [1] ø 3 mm

IMPERATIVE : check that the motor is coupled to its mechanism .

Replace the electric sunroof mechanism .

Remove the pins [1] .

Tighten the fasteners (2) to 0.35 da.Nm .

Re-connect the connector (1) .

initialise and programme the sunroof .

Perform several tests of operation .

Proceed in the reverse order to removal .

• the sliding panel
• the roof console
