REMOVAL - REFITTING FASCIA
WARNING : the removal-refitting of the fascia panel is an operation which must be carried out with care/on removal, ensure that the connectors are released correctly; on refitting, ensure that the harnesses are routed correctly and are clamped .
1 - SPECIAL TOOLS
[1] Plastic spatula (-).1350 .
2 - REMOVAL
Protect the front seats .
Disconnect the battery .
Move the front seats as far back as possible .
Place the wheels straight and lock the steering lock .
Remove :
At the base of the multifunction display location, remove the mounting bolt at the top of the air conditioner .
REMOVE THE FASCIA PANEL BRIGHTNESS SENSOR .
Using the plastic spatula [1], remove the side vents .
Remove the fuse box cover (1) and the trim (2) under the steering column unclipping them downwards .
Disconnect the connector remaining at the bottom on the steering wheel .
Unscrew a few threads of the steering wheel securing bolts .
Release the steering wheel from its splines by tapping the rim with your hands .
Remove :
Release the fixings by a quarter turn (3) .
Move aside the lower tabs (4) and tilt the bsi (Downward) .
Unclip the white and red connector (5) from the bsi and disconnect it .
Disconnect : The black connector (6-way) to the right of the bsi (6) (purple wires) .
Unclip and disconnect : The green connector (2-way) to the right of the bsi (purple wires) .
Detach the diagnostic connector (7) .
Disconnect the headlamp height adjuster control connector (8) .
Passing your hand through the side vent holes, detach the upper clip (9) from the fascia panel fixing side covers .
Remove the side covers .
Remove the 4 mountings (10) .
Unclip the circuit board (11) at (A) towards the interior of the fascia panel .
Remove the 2 mounting bolts (12) securing the fascia panel to the air conditioner .
From the air conditioner, detach the harness connecting to the fascia panel .
Remove :
Remove :
Disconnect the air ducts (18) .
Remove the air conduit (19) .
Remove the 2 earthing point bolts (20), located to the right and to the left of the gear lever cables .
Disconnect the connector (1-way black (21)) .
Remove the lower mounting bolt (22) and the strengthening strut on the tunnel .
Remove : The 2 lower mounting bolts (23) .
Unclip and disconnect : The black and red connector (24) on the strengthening strut .
Unclip the connectors (25) .
Remove the 4 mounting bolts securing the steering column to the fascia panel crossmember .
Unclip the green connector (26) secured to the steering column on the fascia panel crossmember .
Remove the fascia panel crossmember mounting bolt located at the base of the fascia panel location .
Remove the 2 side mounting bolts (27) securing the fascia panel crossmember to the structure .
Two operators are required to raise the fascia panel to release the dowel pins .
Take care not the stress the harnesses .
Remove the fascia panel via the driver's door .
3 - REFITTING
Two operators are required to position the fascia panel .
Check :
Proceed in the reverse order to removal .
Observe the tightening torque values :
